5) Discussion about a working group to review and coordinate developments related to Data Analysis solutions (email from Chris Roderick)

- Email from Chris Roderick: " Dear all, Following up on some long standing requests, and the most recent “LHC Beam Operation workshop” held in Evian, I would like to start a working group to review and coordinate developments related to Data Analysis solutions. The idea is to have a similar approach to the LDB4DA (Logging DB for Data Analysis) working group which was heavily active during 2010 and lead to a number of developments in the area of logging data extraction and visualisation functionality (8 extraction API / TIMBER releases during the year). Minutes here: http://wikis/display/CALS/LDB4DA . Concerning the scope: In addition to logging data, we will also consider how to provide extraction and / or analysis of data from other data sources such as LSA/InCA, PostMortem, Logbooks, etc. To get things started, I invite you to confirm to me the interest in this subject from you or your team, and then I will organise a one-to-one meeting with each person / team to understand and document your data analysis use cases and requirements. After discussing with all interested parties, I will organise a meeting to present a summary of the collective use-cases, requirements, and initial development planning. I will then ask that you or a member of your team participate in regular meetings to review development progress".

=> We had already an internal discussion (see http://emetral.web.cern.ch/emetral/ICEsection/2013/2013-04-10/ICE%20Min%20Meeting_10-04-13.htm and https://emetral.web.cern.ch/emetral/ICEsection/2013/2013-04-10/LoggingViewerProblems.pptx) => EM will discuss with MassimoG and GianluigiA to see how to proceed.
