 1) Newcomers / visitors

- Johannes HERBST (short term student from Vienna University of Technology) will arrive next Monday (16/09 for 8-10 weeks) to work on impedance measurements and/or simulations, depending on the availability of some equipements => Still to be finalized with BS and OB at the beginning of the week. The key is in Delphine's office (as EM will not be here on Monday) and his office will be 10/R-012.

2) Comments on the minutes of the previous 91st meeting + Actions

- List of Actions.

3General infos

- No particular comment from anyone.

- SL meeting:

- 1st beam in LINAC4 tunnel => Source was ignited and the beam was produced and did 1 m.

- MikeL’s academic training lectures this week (first part yesterday and two other parts today and tomorrow).

- The new LD post should be published this week.

- News from LHC:

- Meeting for some LHC RF contacts issues => To be discussed at some next LBOC meeting but summary already sent to PaulC for immediate actions.

- Paper on NHTVS from Alexey Burov available => https://mmm.cern.ch/owa/redir.aspx?C=n8R927zoy0CtfbRPlZNfUAI8WV1hftAIYMfL_SSFxJHVSiVrK15-AmzdWw4UPuvntMc_yBzgKmM.&URL=http%3a%2f%2farxiv.org%2fpdf%2f1309.0044v2.pdf.

- Answer for TSC to DR => Deadline today!

- HL-LHC WP2 actions:

- Beam-induced RF heating (with current machine but HL-LHC parameters, as a first step) => To be presented this Friday.

- Ecloud => Simulations done for the current triplets (presented in detail yesterday by GI during the Ecloud WG, with all the required PyECLOUD modifications required to simulate such a complicated situation and many nice results were obtained). Simulations with the possible new HL-LHC triplets still to be done.

- Discussion with RalphS about the BBLR => 2 actions for us:

- Impedance team => Impedance estimate as a drawing seems to be now available (see Action 1 below).

- BB team => Do we have other observables than lifetime to check that the BBLR wire compensation is working properly? Are these effects significant enough to ask BI to improve their diagnostics? (see Action 2 below)

- Impedance meeting on BSRT and BSRT WG meeting yesterday => Much better design now as the power loss is much smaller. Still some ongoing discussions with ManfredW about the power loss computation.

- MSWG where Vivien presented the work of himself with Bettina and OB for the optics of the PSB lines.

- SC meeting tomorrow to discuss the different plans and deadlines of the PSB, PS and SPS (and then LEIR).

- Initially foreseen DA's talk for today has been cancelled as some changes in her studies might occur soon (due to the fact that her direct supervisor AlexeyB left CERN in July).

4) Status of the work for the internal review on the LHC performance limitations during run I (on 25-26/09/2013) => All the speakers

- Look at the list of questions: https://indico.cern.ch/getFile.py/access?resId=1&materialId=slides&confId=267783 => Analyse / correlate the beam stability / instability vs. the polarity of the LHCb spectrometer. Any possible effect from ALICE? Do we have some ideas? Ongoing work.

- Discussion with SF for the cogging MD but it seems that there is nothing more to add compared to what was summarised in some slides presented at the LSWG.

- EM contacted ElenaS and LaurentT to see if they have any info about it RF stable phase shift and triplets' heat load..

- Instabilities at injection => KL made some progress and will discuss his findings during next week's Ecloud meeting.

5) Actions to be taken for the next meeting

- Old actions.

- New actions:

- Action 1 (Impedance team): Impedance estimates of the possible BBLR wire compensation scheme for the LHC, as a drawing seems to be now available (to be sent by RalphS).

- Action 2 (BB team): Do we have other observables than lifetime to check that the BBLR wire compensation is working properly? Are these effects significant enough to ask BI to improve their diagnostics?

6)  Miscellaneous

- Deadlines and important dates for ICE.

- The next (93rd) meeting will take place on 02/10/2013 => Agenda:

1) Not yet defined.

- See preliminary agendas for the next meetings.

- See List of Actions.
