1) Newcomers / visitors
- Uwe Niedermayer and Lewin Eidam are around for few days to participate to some impedance measurements (also on their SIS18 kicker).
2) Comments on the minutes of the previous 87th meeting + Actions
- No comment.
3) General infos
- No particular comment from anyone.
- Did you give some papers to scan? I gave some from Dieter Mohl.
- SL meeting:
- The (59) IC slots should have been published on 09/08/13 => For those interested, please have a look and apply!
- A new post is going to be published soon on CLIC (50%) / LHC Injector Complex Space Charge studies (50%).
- LHC nonconformities for the splices => Mainly mechanical and not only resistance issue.
- MLI (Multi-Layer Insulation) has been found sticking on the RF ball after the test in sector 34. A new cleaning campaign will be launched.
- Cars are going to be equipped with winter tires by default in occasion of the next service.
- The summary of the RLIUP workshop, which will take place from 29/10 to 31/10 in Archamps will be given at CERN on 07/11 afternoon in the main Auditorium.
- 2 (1) request(s) from GA yesterday to be added to our list of studies: Effect of injection kicker’s ripple on ions in the SPS? => Wolfgang Hofle could/will in fact do these simulations. Damping time in the SPS with ions Measurements? HEADTAIL simulations to be done without an with space charge as done in the past for the PS => Action 1 (KL, who is already in contact with WolfgangH for that).
- Ecloud studies (as a follow-up of last meeting):
- Evaluate the effort for PS ecloud studies compared to the other machines and put some priorities.
- Try and check if the model from A. Burov with his 3-beam instability can make sense with other ecloud observations.
4) Status of the work for the internal review on the LHC performance limitations during run I (on 25-26/09/2013) => All the speakers
- Ongoing, no major pbs. Some interesting findings.
- EM will present the results of the Cogging (2-beam impedance) MD.
- Meeting on Friday to discuss in more detail.
5) Finalization of the programme and speakers (before being put on indico)
- Reminder of the list of questions which were raised and that we should try and answer.

6) Actions to be taken for the next meeting

- Action 1 (KL): Damping time in the SPS with ions (request from WolfgangH through GA)? => HEADTAIL simulations to be performed without an with space charge for the ions in the SPS (as done in the past for the PS).
