- I forgot to mention the last time that there should be another newcomer since June 1st: Giovanni Iadarola (DOC), supervised by GR and whose office is 8/1-012.

3) General infos
- EM forwarded to KL some comments from Toshio Suzuki on his work for the synchro-betatron studies.
- SL meeting:
- LMC:
- UFO => Seen very often at MKI injection kicker => Always at the 1st kicker in the beam direction (incoming side of the coming beam)
- FZ has been nominated "mister dust" and he will follow this up.
- News on the LHC:
- Since last Thursday 09/06/11 some octupoles's current has been put at injection (6.5 A) to try and suppress the transverse emittance BU, as the latter was always linked to some coherent motion (this corresponds to a spread on the real axis up to ~ -8E-4). It seems to work (with the statistics that we have at the moment) but we still need to understand fully what happens.

- The Q" was also measured without and with octupoles => Picture (can be found also in the LHC 08:30 meeting on 10/06/11).
- 1 fb^-1 reached (reported at the LHC 08:30 meeting on Tuesday 14/06/2011), if we take into account the results of last year!
- Bunch power spectrum measured by RalphS: http://elogbook.cern.ch/eLogbook/event_viewer.jsp?eventId=1430775.
- A "new" longitudinal blow-up is done during the ramp which increase the bunch length from ~ 1.1 ns to ~ 1.2 ns, and everybody seems to be happy => Good fro the cryo and for some heating observed on MKI (and it also seems that the UFOs there are considerably reduced) and elsewhere.
- Nomination A&T Sector Flammable Gas Safety Officer: F. Fayet (EN-MEF) => I sent already the email.
- PS instability in H on the nTOF beam observed in the past weeks at injection => The beam was lost almost completely. It was due to a bad tune adjustment => This is solved now (SimoneG, 14/06/11).
- Talk by NM at the collimation review yesterday: Impedance without IR3 upgrade.
- Meeting last Friday to discuss the TMCI at PS transition without and with gamma jump (SandraA et al.) => Nice results et clear plans (essentially HEADTAIL simulations to fully validate the gamma jump in HEADTAIL).
- Last Wednesday, the SPS MD on transverse emittance growth at 270 GeV/c was cancelled due to LHC filling => To be redone another time.
- Welcome to BS's son Alexis (newborn from yesterday)!
